The Association of Foreign Investment Companies (ASIEX) attributes to external factors that coincidentally three large foreign companies are being transacted for sale. Listin Diario reports that ASIEX Executive Director Pablo Linares, assured the negotiations of large companies such as Verizon Dominicana with America Movel (Telmex), and the announced willingness of selling Shell Dominicana or the negotiations taking place by Falconbridge Dominicana, cannot be attributed to the investment climate having changed negatively. Linares sustained the investment climate in the DR continues positive. The improvement of the macroeconomic situation is proof of this according to the business leader.
