Young Paris Goico won five gold medals during the archery competition at the Cuban Sports Olympics in the city of Sancti Spiritus. The archers from the Dominican Republic won the competition for men with Goico, Betances and Cesar Lopez winning gold, silver and bronze respectively.
According to El Nuevo Diario, Goico and the Dominican team won the compound bow competition, defeating the Cuban team from Centrales.
