Yvonne Losos de Muniz, who won bronze in the Pan American Games in 2003, Monica Orizondo, Fauntly Garrido, and Hector Luis La Hoz have already qualified to represent the DR in the prestigious 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games to be held 25 September 10 October 10 in Lexington, Kentucky, USA. The FEI World Equestrian Games is a Grand Prix event.
Previously, the riders will compete in the 2010 Central American Games in Puerto Rico.
This Friday and Saturday, competitions are organized by the Dominican Association of Reining and will take place at the Palmarejo Equestrian Center. There Luis Orizondo, Jose Ivan Brouwer, Petra Dvorakova and Ariel Lockward will try to convince international judges Jane Lyon and Marvin "Butch" Carse, from the American Quarter Horse Association, that they too should be on the Dominican team to the Grand Prix event. The competitions start at 6:30pm on Friday, and on Saturday from 9am.
