Casa de Teatro announces its summer jazz festival, this year to be known as the Santo Domingo Jazz Festival . The festival is in its 10th year. Eight groups from the Americas and Europe will perform on Thursdays in June and July. The Festival opens with the duo Mestizaje from Cuba on 10 June. It continues with Fractal (Spain) on 17 June, and Negroni's Trio (Puerto Rico) on 24 June. In July, the program has Corey Allen & Slay and the Bars (USA/DR) for 1 July; Felle Vega (DR) for 8 July; Laviso Trio (France) 15 July; El Prodigio en Jazz (DR) on 22 July; and Santo Domingo Jazz Big Band (DR) on 29 July.
Casa de Teatro is located at Arz. Merino almost corner Padre Billini in the Colonial City.
