Model Rose Cordero is mentioned as the "first solo black model since 2002 to appear on the cover of Vogue Paris", and also stars in 10 inside pages of the edition. The 18-year old model was photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. Hoy reports that she was recently in Beijing to model the Christian Dior Cruise 2011 collection. She is also the first Dominican top model to model for Givenchy when she did so in Paris this spring. She was discovered when modeling in the Dominican Fashion Week. She first signed with Wilhelmina Models in New York in 2008, then Supreme Management and in 2010 with Ford Models.
