Investigators search Roman's cell in Rafey

Investigators from the District Attorney's office were searching for clues in the case of the attempted assassination of lawyer and commentator Jordi Veras Wednesday morning outside of a television station. Currently Veras is recovering from the two gunshot wounds. Members of the Investigative Corps of the Regional Central Cibao Command of the National Police inspected the cell of businessman Adriano Roman. A year ago, Veras had directed the trial that sent Roman to jail for 20 year for the attempted murder of his former wife. According to the Hoy newspapers, evidence was found that implicates Roman in this new murder attempt. Sources said that the evidence will not be revealed until investigators talk to Roman. They also said that the motorcycle used in the murder attempt was found and that the Police have some good leads in the case.
