Yesterday the Central Electoral Board (JCE) Disputes Chamber heard the first 23 appeals filed against local election boards decisions. Today the chamber will disclose the mechanisms the Chamber of the Board used to make their decisions. The JCE also decided to order the National District Election Board to go over the invalid and questioned votes in minute detail, according to Article 41 of the Electoral Law. The resolutions were announced by the head of the Disputes Chamber, Mariano Rodriguez after 10pm last night, at the end of a session that began at 4pm.
The magistrate reported that the cases that were heard were from election boards in the National District, Santo Domingo North, Pedro Brand, Los Alcarrizos, Guerra and Boca Chica. In today's session, they will continue to work on appeals from the province of Santo Domingo that came from the municipalities of Santo Domingo East and West and some provinces in the Cibao.
