Ethics Commission president Marino Vinicio Castillo says that TV journalist Nuria Piera must present the evidence for her claims that the government has its supporters on its payroll. On her Monday show on Channel 37 CDN, Piera revealed that as much as RD$17 billion could be spent on these secret payrolls every year. The payrolls distribute RD$3,000-RD$4,000 a month to these low-level politicians.
