Transport monopolies hurt business

The president of the National Business Council (Conep), Lisandro Macarrulla spoke out again yesterday against individuals, unions and companies that want to impose monopolies on the transport of passengers and cargo. When a local hotel recently chose to transport its staff on their own buses, drivers responded with vandalism. "The intent of the transporters to curtail by force free competition and freedom of transit is against the constitutional rights," he said.
