According to news reports, fire has engulfed two warehouses belonging to the Ladom dairy company, the leading suppliers of school breakfast drinks located at Km. 19 of Las Americas Expressway. The fire began at around 4am and at 7:30am the firemen were still trying to put it out. There were no casualties.
Ladom has been in the news after several cases of food poisoning involved their school breakfast program supplies. The Ministry of Education cancelled the school breakfast program.
