No vote re-count for Pedernales

The Central Electoral Board (JCE) Disputes Chamber has accepted the reversal of a decision to recount the votes in Oviedo, in Pedernales province. Of the five chamber judges, three (Chamber president Mariano Rodriguez and members Leyda Pina and John Guiliano) voted against the recount as requested by the ruling PLD party. The JCE had granted the Senate seat to PLD candidate Dionis Sanchez, with a difference of 14 votes over PRD candidate, Jose Saturnino Espinal.
