Sammy Dauhajre out on bail

The National District Court of Appeals has authorized Sammy Dauhajre's release on bail as the case against him for money laundering and criminal association related to drug trafficking is heard. The court nevertheless ruled that Mary Elvira Pelaez and Ricardo Ivanovich Smester Ginebra, accused of similar charges, must stay in prison. They have been detained in connection with the case against Puerto Rican fugitive Jose David Figueroa Agosto. Dauhajre is Pelaez's brother in law.
