The National Drug Control Department (DNCD) has announced the dismissal of three majors, including the intelligence chief at the Intelligence and Joint Coordination Center (CICC) and at the Punta Cana International Airport. They are Air Force Major Roberto Soto Feliz and Army Major Juan Ramon Aquino Rodriguez. A third Army Major Aneury Rodriguez Rodriguez was also fired. The dismissals follow the confiscation of a 52kg cocaine shipment from a Jet Fly airplane that was scheduled to travel to Europe from Punta Cana International Airport, as reported in El Dia.
