The National Weather Office (Onamet) forecasts more rains coming this way. In Santo Domingo, it was pouring today, but in Punta Cana, on the eastern coast, it was sunny, while partly cloudy through noon.
This is because a passing tropical wave had already cleared, and better weather had moved in. Onamet forecasts the rains will continue.
