Scholarships for Caribbean nationals

The Dominican government has announced that it is offering scholarships to meritorious students in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The first 10 scholarships will be for the degree course of choice at the UASD, the state university. The first to apply are interested in studying medicine and engineering, said Higher Education Minister Ligia Amada Melo. Ambassador Ellsworth John signed for St. Vincent. Ambassador Ramon Dionisio Ditren, in charge of Caribbean Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Relations channeled the request made by the government of St. Vincent.
