The Central Electoral Board (JCE) Disputes Chamber issued 14 decisions yesterday dealing with appeals for recounts in several election districts. Of the 14 cases decided yesterday, at the congressional level, five were decided, with four of them belonging to the PRD and one to the PLD. Of the other nine cases, seven are from the PRD and two from the PLD.
In the congressional cases, PRD candidate for deputy Angel Acosta won his appeal, as did Carlos Terrero, Sadoky Duarte Suarez and Modesto Diaz.
The election boards that will have to review the votes are in Piedra Blanca, El Pino in Dajabon, San Pedro de Macoris, Guaymate in La Romana, Neiba in the province of Bahoruco, Azua and Tabara Arriba in Azua province and finally, in San Cristobal.
