The National Drug Control Department (DNCD) has seized 100 kg of cocaine from a house in Santo Domingo East. The agency said that the drugs were distributed in 83 packages and belonged to a man only known as "Dario" who is on the run and being actively sought by the DNCD. Department head Major General Rolando Rosado Mateo said that an assistant prosecutor from Santo Domingo East took part in the search. The drugs were found in a closet in the master bedroom on the second floor of the house on Curacao Street in the Sabana Larga area of Alma Rosa. The seizure follows several weeks of intelligence work, according to the DNCD.
