Speaking at yesterday's press conference, the chiefs of the Police and the National Drug Control Department and the Prosecutor General Office said that no military or police personnel were involved in the case of Puerto Rican fugitive Jose David Figueroa Agosto. One of the case investigators, Police General Jose Polanco Gomez, said that the military and police uniforms used in recent killings were replicas and the military IDs were forged. Speaking at the event were General Fructuoso Heredia and General Polanco Gomez, together with assistant prosecutor Candida Ramos. They were introduced by Radhames Jimenez, who said that his office, the Prosecutor General Office, was heading the investigation.
Hoy makes the point that during the event, Radhames Jimenez Pena, assistant prosecutor Frank Soto, District prosecutor Alejandro Moscoso Segarra, chief of Police Rafael Guillermo Guzman Fermin and the head of the National Drug Control Department, Rolando Rosado Mateo did not answer journalists' questions.
