Alleged hit man Jose Miguel Rodriguez Almonte (Job), one of 11 accused of being contract killers working for Puerto Rican fugitive Jose Figueroa Agosto, has pleaded guilty to the murder of Ruben Soto Hayet, who owned La Francesa Bakery. He also pleaded guilty to owning the arsenal of weapons, the official-looking caps and the DNCD identity cards, the radio communication gear with Police frequencies and other objects confiscated on 18 June during a search carried out in Santiago. "I plead guilty to everything I had in my house that was rented in my name and that my wife had nothing to do with anything, since she did not know what I did and I plead guilty for the case of La Francesa". The confession was made by the accused in front of the judge for Permanent Attention for the National District, Patricia Padilla, who sent him to 12 months preventive custody, to be served at the Special Operations Base of the National Police.
