Puerto Rico's Police Superintendent Jose Figueroa Sancha told journalists yesterday that the Puerto Rican authorities are holding talks aimed at securing the extradition of Dominican Ramon Puente del Rosario (Tono Lena), who is accused of drug trafficking and other crimes in Puerto Rico in complicity with Puerto Rican fugitive Jose David Figueroa Agosto. The extradition will be requested through diplomatic channels.
Figueroa Sancha said that the economic wealth behind Puerto Rican drug capo Jose Figueroa Agosto is what has made his capture so difficult. Figueroa walked from a Puerto Rican jail using a forged release order, despite having been sentenced to 209 years for murder.
