The Secretary General of the United Nations, Kofi Annan will carry out an official visit to the Dominican Republic this Thursday, 3 August. He will meet with President Leonel Fernandez at the National Palace. Annan will also meet with the chief justice of the Supreme Court Jorge Subero Isa and Senate and Chamber of Deputies leaders. A source at the Ministry of Foreign Relations told Diario Libre that Annan's visit would also include a luncheon with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), a visit to FUNGLODE and a press conference.
