Casa de Teatro is celebrating its summer jazz festival, this year known as the Santo Domingo Jazz Festival commemorating its 10th anniversary with jazz concerts every Thursday evening in June and July. The next show is by Corey Allen & Slay and the Bars (USA/DR) on 1 July. Corey Allen is a pianist, composer, and arranger with the band of Chuck Mangione and The Manhattan Transfer. He has won Grammy and Golden Globe awards.
This presentation at Casa de Teatro will be followed by Felle Vega (DR) on 8 July, Laviso Trio (France) on 15 July, El Prodigio en Jazz (DR) on 22 July and Santo Domingo Jazz Big Band (DR) on 29 July. Casa de Teatro is on Arz. Merino Street near the corner with Padre Billini Street in the Colonial City.
