The executive vice president of the Public Electricity Corporation (CDEEE), Celso Marranzini announced in a press conference yesterday that he is taking direct control of the three electricity distributors (Edes). He announced the creation of a new board of directors, composed mainly of CDEEE employees, at each one of the businesses. Marranzini told the press the move seeks new efficiencies. Common policies will be implemented at EdeSur, EdeNorte and EdeEste so these have uniform financial reporting and technological platforms. Policies for dealing with fraud, issuing contracts and dealing with their clients will also be the same.
The new administrative council of the three distributors is made up of Celso Marranzini, as president, Ramon Garcia Tatis, vice-president, Mirna Lorenzo, and Magin Diaz, members. These are joined by three representatives of the Patrimonial Fund of the Reformed Enterprises (Fonper) in each one of the distributors.
