Economist Arturo Martinez Moya of the PRD comments that Hacienda Minister Vicente Bengoa recently denied that the government's deficit is at RD$76.7 billion without providing an alternative figure. Martinez Moya says that by the end of the year, the deficit will stand at RD$100 billion. He lists several of the government arrears. In its National Budget the government planned for a deficit of RD$46.8 billion.
