The president of the Chamber of Deputies, Alfredo Pacheco, would be in favor of a constitutional reform, provided it is carried out by a constituent assembly. However, the lawmaker pointed out that in order to do this, a previous reform has to be carried out to determine the manner in which the Constitution can be modified.
