Public sector grows

The president of the Confederation of Employers in the DR, Marisol Vicens said she is concerned about the stagnation that is affecting job creation in the formal sector, while employment in the informal sector and the public sector is up. She said that the informal sector had grown by 29% in the past 10 years, while job employment in the formal sector is up only 8%. She said that worst of all is that employment in the public sector has increased 24% in the same period, as reported in Diario Libre.
