The Ministry of Tourism has announced that this year's Brugal Merengue Festival will take place at the new Plaza Juan Baron of the Malecon on 3 nights - 30, 31 July and 1 August. The rum company has booked 12 merengue bands for the celebration that is in its 43rd year.
