US seeks Tono Lena extradition

Representatives from the United States embassy met assistant District Attorney Frank Sosa yesterday morning, and are thought to have requested the extradition of Ramon Antonio del Rosario Puente, alias "Tono Lena". And, according to sources, they also requested the extradition of seven other people whose identities were not revealed. It is not known at this time whether the seven are military or governmental personnel, and there is speculation that they were linked to drug trafficking, as was "Tono Lena". US Charge d'Affaires Christopher Lambert and Consul General Michael Schimmer attended the meeting. The four-hour meeting was held behind closed doors and no access was given to the press or other media.
