Three of the five minors accused of killing seven taxi drivers in several parts of Santo Domingo East said yesterday that they feel no remorse for their deeds. After being placed in a National Police vehicle after a preliminary hearing, the minors were asked if they were sorry for the criminal acts that they had committed, to which they answered "no, and they would do it again" according to Listin Diario. When they were being moved from Najayo Prison, the two female gang members wore standard school skirts and smiled at the reporters and the families of their victims. The hearing, before Judge Leidy Alcantara of the Santo Domingo province Children and Youth Court, was postponed because one of the defendant's lawyers ****** Fatule Chahin did not appear in court. Family members and Taxi Union representatives are demanding that the minors should be charged and tried as adults.
