Pool party recruitment – a caution

As we know there has been a wave of pool/bikini parties at places like NG, Seabreeze, Colibri and private residences recently.

I don’t think anyone has a problem with that, however…there is or will be a problem with the way some guys are going about recruiting chicas to attend these events.

It would appear that groups of guys drive or walk around town aggressively approaching any female who happens to be on the streets.

I have been told that a few non-puta chicas who have been approached were seriously pissed off, having been told stuff like come to the party and after we can all fuck you and make porno videos.

No big deal you will say but I hear one or more of them has some serious heavyweight politico connections and they are mighty pissed.

Do not therefore be surprised if you engage in this type of behaviour if you experience some drama thereafter.

Whilst some may think that every chica in Sosua is a puta, and 95+% may well be, guys should really try and show a little respect and not act like frat house wankers.

Even though Forteleza is quite nice this time of year it is in your best interests to keep it on the downlow.

It's usually the guys with an "attitude" that end up having bad experiences in the DR. Be it with police, chicas, etc., if you give out bad vibes expect to get them right back.

Treat the chicas with respect and pay them the standard fee, and you generally won't have to sleep with one eye open.

I have to disagree. Pool parties are fun. You get some like minded guys together, a bunch of new (and familiar) chicas, some tunes, booze, a good BBQ. The thing about Sosua is that you can 'be hugging up on a chica somewhere nice and cozy' any time of any day. That is the same old shit - not the pool party once a month. I don't go specifically to just smash putas - I enjoy having fun and socalizing as well. Where at home can you go somewhere and have 30 chicas in bikinis line up and show off so you can decide if you want to smash them after?

No-one here has an issue with pool parties, I think. You either enjoy them or not, we are all different so no issue.

Just be aware that the crude recruitment tactics used thus far has drawn some pretty unfavourable attention from the powers that be.

I wouldn't want to be in attendance or associated with one if and when they decide to get a share of the action.

I am really on the fence with this one because as has been mentioned, Sosua is little more than a giant pool party in of itself so what is the point.

That said, I did enjoy the Ms. NG pageant in May. The food was good, got to socialize a bit, make some new friends and it was a nice break from my normal day at the beach in Sosua.

I also enjoyed going to Fred's Sunday afternoon BBQ/pool party and hope he continues with more of the same.

Where I am in 100% agreement is that if you want to go to a party, go to one hosted by an established business. As a tourist, you have nothing to gain by promoting, financing or hosting anything and a shitload of potential liability. When you do not know exactly who is there is when the trouble will begin.

A small, private party amongest friends and known chicas is a different matter. To me, this seems to be the best of times in Sosua.

Everybody going to the DR should keep in mind that like most Latin, Central and South American countries, the Dominican Republic is very heavily influenced by the Catholic church. Everyone knows what goes on, they don't so much turn a blind eye to it as tolerate it as a necessary means of income. The fact is, they think you've gone too far, they will get conservative all over your ass.

We all know and recognize that some of the girls are not there for our "en la cama" use. The ones who are make it more than clear. If I'm ever in doubt, I assume they're not there for P4P.
