Young people have come together to protest police killings, especially those by policemen who killed two men who ignored calls to stop made by policemen on the grounds that the police were ordering them to stop in unlit areas.
The campaign, "Police don't kill me, I will stop now" (Policia no me mate, yo me paro) includes car stickers and protests that are scheduled for Friday 23 July outside the National Police HQ and on 30 July at the Plaza de Espana. The young people will protest about the number of people who have been shot dead by the Police.
The young protestors say they are calling for police reform and a stop to abuses against citizens. "We fear the lack of professionalism in the police," they told Hoy.
