Tropical Storm Chris is expected to skirt the island of Hispaniola as it makes its way to the Bahamas and Florida. At 11 am on Wednesday, the storm had strengthened during the day to a 60MPH Tropical Storm, it is now forecast to become a hurricane and pass well north of the Caribbean islands as it makes its way to enter the Bahamas. Given the nature of tropical storms, those in the DR should nevertheless continue to monitor it until it has made its way past us.
