Judge Kimba Wood of the Southern District of Manhattan, who is presiding over the Quirino Paulino Castillo drug trafficking and money laundering case, has postponed the trial, this time until 6 September 2006, as reported in Diario Libre. Others involved in the case are Luis Eduardo Rodriguez, Vladimir Garcia and Fatima Henriquez Diaz. Of the group, Henriquez is free on bail.
Meanwhile, in Santo Domingo, Judge Natividad Ramona Santos, of the 5th Instruction Court, postponed the hearing of the similar case against Quirino Paulino Castillo and Pedro Julio "Pepe" Goico Guerrero for 28 August. Two witnesses in the case, landscaper Margarita Gomez and Hernani Salazar sent formal excuses.
