Dominican women athletes won two more medals at the Central American and Caribbean Games taking place in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. The golds this time were in bowling and judo. The team of Aumi Guerra and Paulina Vilas won the gold in bowling at the Mayaguez 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games. Totalling 2017 strikes of 2604 balls thrown, they broke the Central American and Caribbean record that had been standing since 1989.
Isandrina Sanchez, won gold in 44 kilos in judo. Overall, Dominican women have won 6 of the 7 gold medals the country has among 34 medal count. Dominican Diana Carolina de Jesus won silver in judo.
