Sergio Pinero won an individual team medal golds in skeet in the Mayaguez 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games taking place in Puerto Rico. The Dominican fencing team , made up by Maybellin Johnson, Melody Martinez, Rossy Feliz and Ysabel Heyddys also won gold.
Dominican Republic's only Olympic gold medalist, Felix Sanchez, arrived yesterday to join the Dominican track team. The Dominican women's volleyball team meets Puerto Rico today for the gold medal in volleyball.
The DR continues in 5th place in medals, with 11 gold medals, 8 silver and 25 bronze. Colombia, Venezuela, Mexico and Puerto Rico lead the tournament. Cuba is not participating this year.
