NBA player Al Horford will be in the DR for two basketball camps for Dominican children. The Atlanta Hawks star player is booked for clinics on 4 August in his native Puerto Plata at the Fabio Rafael Gonzalez Sports Arena (for boys and girls ages 14-16). On 7-8 August he has coordinated a second basketball camp at the Los Prados Club in Santo Domingo (for boys and girls 15-18). Coming with him are Jason Kapono and JR Smith of the Denver Nuggets; Jon Brockman of Sacramento; Gerald Henderson, of Charlotte. Also Dominicans Charlie Villanueva and Francisco Garcia. His father, former NBA player Tito Horford and former player B.J. Armstrong are also participating in the clinics.
