Gasoline prices

Amid the uproar about expected increases in taxes on fuel, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce announced last week that most fuel prices would remain the same this week. The Ministry authorized only a RD$0.55 increase on the gallon of propane, that now costs RD$75.29. The gallon of premium gasoline costs RD$163.50, regular gasoline sells for RD$153.90. Diesel is RD$130.10 and premium diesel is RD$135.10. Avtur is at RD$104.98 and kerosene is RD$122.10. Prices are based on a foreign exchange rate to the US$1 of RD$36.96, as reported in Diario Libre.
