Search and rescue units from the Dominican Air Force tracked down two boys who went chasing rabbits near Constanza and got lost. Jordi Jose de la Rosa, 9, and Yoel Munoz, 14, had been missing since Sunday.
They said that they were in a campout and left to go looking for rabbits. They said when they tried to go back they could not find their way.
The director of the Ramon de Lara Military Hospital, Hugo Perez Compres, said that they received a report of the missing children from the radio program "El gobierno de la manana" and sent out search parties right away.
Perez Compres said that the children showed signs of dehydration and some scratches, but otherwise they were in good shape.
