The National Association of Gasoline Retailers has announced that if the government's legislative proposals go through, there could be a major spike in the consumption of Liquid Propane Gas (LPG) for vehicles. They envisage an increase of about 30 to 40% in LPG use by consumers, according to Anadegas president Rafael Polanco.
Polanco said that the increase due for non-applied inflation since 2007 would be 19.68%. As a result, premium gasoline will go up RD$9.29, regular will increase by RD$8.22, and diesel will see its premium increase RD$4.32 and regular will go up RD$2.40. As a result, they suggest the elimination of indexing.
