Weather conditions are dominated by a high-level trough over the whole territory that is working with the tropical wave located over the eastern part of the island. Most of the clouds are over the Caribbean Sea but there will be some activity over the country. According to a weather bulletin issued by the National Meteorological Office (Onamet), these will cause scattered showers, thunderstorms and isolated wind gusts in the provinces of Samana, Maria Trinidad Sanchez (Nagua), Duarte (San Francisco de Macoris), Hato Mayor, El Seibo, Espaillat (Moca), La Vega, Sanchez Ramirez (Cotui), San Juan de la Maguana, Elias Pina and Monte Plata. Further out, the Onamet said that there is a large, disorganized area of clouds and rain to the east of the Lesser Antilles.
