Police arrest 4 minors for shooting

The National Police Cibao Central Department has arrested four minors, ages 13,14,16 and 17 for the shooting a man in order to steal two cell phones, a wallet with some money and his personal documents. The robbery took place in the Cienfuegos section of Santiago. The minors' names have not been released because of legal restrictions. Police spokesperson Colonel Jesus Cordero Paredes told reporters that the minors had wounded and robbed Faustino Almonte. A complaint was filed by the victim's wife Yanelkis Sanchez Sanchez, who identified the four young men. She told Police how she and her husband were driving past the San Lorenzo Park in Cienfuegos on their Honda C-70 motorcycle, when it broke down. When they stopped to see what was wrong with the motorcycle, the four boys took advantage of the situation to commit their assault. The assailants were also identified by the park watchman.
