Legendary rock group "Blondie" will be the first to perform at Santo Domingo's new Hard Rock Cafe, which officially opens tonight. The venue seats 800 persons, and the show starts at 8:00pm. Tickets are on sale at the Cafe and through Ticket Express at RD$2,500. Part of the proceeds will go to UNICEF and their programs for Dominican children and young people with AIDS, as reported by Listin Diario. Blondie was formed in the United States in the 1970s as one of the pioneers of the punk movement and is best known for its hits "Hanging on the Telephone", "Rip her to Shreds", "Heart of Glass", "One War or Another", "Call Me" and "The Tide is High".
