President Leonel Fernandez is traveling to Colombia this Thursday, 5 August afternoon to attend his counterpart Juan Manuel Santos' presidential inauguration ceremony. He also has plans to meet with the mayor of Medellin, according to the President's web page. Fernandez will leave from San Isidro Air Base on a private flight, accompanied by a delegation that includes Foreign Relations Minister Carlos Morales Troncoso and Economy, Planning and Development Minister Temistocles Montas.
The delegation is scheduled to fly into Medellin where they will meet mayor Alonso Salazar and minister Montas is scheduled to sign an agreement for municipal management and transparency.
The next day they will travel on to Bogota to participate in the new President's inaugural events, which take place on Friday and Saturday. Fernandez is one of 13 heads of state who have confirmed they would attend the inaugural.
