1,180 public school children and UASD university students with B and A grade averages in their school year have received computers donated by the government. The National Telecommunications Institute (INDOTEL) program activity took place on Friday, 6 August at the main hall of the UASD University in Santo Domingo, and students came from all around the country. Present at the event were Vice President Rafael Alburquerque, INDOTEL president Jose Rafael Vargas, Education Minister Melanio Paredes and Higher Education Minister Ligia Amada Melo.
