Blas Peralta, president of the National Federation of Dominican Transport (Fenatrado) that groups owners of freight trucks has called for a 24-hour work stoppage. He says this would cost the government RD$600 million in revenues not collected for the day. The work stoppage will affect the country's ports and the border, as reported in Diario Libre. The break seeks to pressure the government to lower the price of fuel and desist from the indexation to reflect three-year accumulated inflation.
