Theo Vicioso, who grew up in Casa de Campo and now lives in White Plains, New York, is the opening star in the Wall Street Journal video on Kids Culinary Academy of Vermont summer camp.
For kids who grow up watching the Food Network, "these [camps] are popping up almost as a need," says author and cooking show host Devin Alexander. "So many people now see cooking as a way to become a star. Before, if you wanted to be famous and you wanted to be on TV, you had to become an actress," an accompanying news story explains.
Theo is the son of Danilo Vicioso, editor of the Casa de Campo News and Jill Singer.
