Two hundred and fifty students from low-income families in the Cibao region have been given computers by the Ministry of Youth in what has been described as an invitation to improve themselves, a motivation to go forward and get out of the poverty that has kept them lacking in opportunities, as reported by El Caribe. The ministry has also been providing free internet access to low-income students.
