The Migration Department has fired more than 30 supervisors and inspectors who served at Las Americas International Airport in a measure that was classified as "administrative" by Public Relations Officer Ambioris Rosario, who said that some ten police officers was also included. Dismissed staff members told Diario Libre that they had not received any explanation about the measure from the Migration Department. The institution also fired staff who had served in the Department of Investigations and Internal Affairs at their Centro de los Heroes headquarters.
