A fire has almost completely destroyed the Ferreteria Bellon hardware store in Santiago, on Av Bartolome Colon. Other businesses and some homes on the same street were also affected. As reported in Hoy, 85% of the store was destroyed. Hoy speculates that the fire could have been caused by a short circuit. The fire began at around 9pm and the blaze was still going strong at 11pm.
