A folkloric dance group, Akademiduka from the French Caribbean island of Guadeloupe will perform in the gardens of the Palace of Fine Arts (Bellas Artes) in Santo Domingo as of 7:30pm on Thursday, 19 August and Friday, 20 August. Admission is free. Twenty folk dancers from Guadeloupe will be visiting for the occasion. Akademiduka was founded by Jacqueline Chaemira in 1985.
Dominican dance group Teatro Popular Danzante under Nereyda Rodriguez will also be appearing.
